QIP · NSQHS STANDARDS
Day Procedure Service
Our day procedure service has been independently assessed against national safety and quality standards. Accreditation covers the service’s systems and processes, including how safety and quality are managed.
The practice-supplied Statement of Accreditation records accreditation to the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards, awarded on 12 February 2026 following Short Notice assessment.
The later QIP reassessment report separately records service identifier DPS1367, reassessment on 30 June 2026 and a decision on 28 July 2026. Those report dates are distinct from the February award and commencement dates printed on this certificate.
The certificate states that maintenance of accreditation is subject to continuous evaluation and quality improvement. Accreditation describes assessed systems and service scope; it does not guarantee a particular treatment outcome.
ACT HEALTHCARE FACILITY LICENCE
Day Procedure (Dental Facility)
Our facility is licensed for dental day procedures. Facility licensing and practitioner registration have different roles. You can ask our team about the licence and the scope relevant to your treatment.
The certificate supplied by A1 Dental Barton records the following licence details.
These details are transcribed from the supplied certificate. Facility licensing is separate from QIP accreditation, Commonwealth hospital recognition and individual practitioner registration. For current licence documentation and the scope relevant to your treatment, please contact our team.
WHAT IT MEANS IN PRACTICE
The QIP report describes clinical governance, patient participation, consent review, infection-prevention audits, medication review and emergency preparation. These are part of a continuing approach to safety and quality, rather than a one-off badge.
Health information, treatment options and financial consent are considered before planned sedation care.
Documented processes, training and audits support infection prevention and equipment reprocessing.
Safety and quality information is reviewed through governance, staff and consumer participation processes.
Training, monitoring, equipment checks and escalation planning support the response to changes in a patient’s condition.
These report-based descriptions refer to the QIP reassessment recorded in July 2026. Accreditation requires ongoing compliance and does not guarantee a particular treatment outcome.
We take time to understand your concerns, explain your options and plan your care. Our team brings together general dentistry, oral surgery and specialist anaesthetic care when needed.
